Have you regretted buying those Christian Louboutin heels that were always a size too small, that Zara dress that was never your colour or that gorgeous Philip Treacy Hat which you have worn to so many weddings, you can't possibly be seen in again? Most people have many items sitting in their wardrobe that they are unlikely ever to wear again for various reasons, but if you find e-bay a bit of a time consuming hassle and you can't quite bear to hand them over to the local charity shop, this could be just the solution.

Y.Shop personal shopping is delighted to announce the launch of its new Y.Swap Shop service. Following on from the recent trend stateside, Y.Swap, is a party led by Camilla which literally allows you to swap clothes, shoes and accessories with other guests.

Y.Shop will organise an evening of clothes swapping for up to 30 people at a London venue - set up rather like a sample sale, clothes are hung on rails for browsing and each guest is given a number (which is also attached to the items of clothes they bring). You arrive with a maximum of 10 items and each guest will be given a form to complete detailing which items they would like, Y.Swap co-ordinates who would like which piece, saving any unnecessary awkwardness. There will be a premium of £15 for designer pieces, unless you can swap your designer item directly with the owner of the one you want!

Someone else's trash, could just turn out to be your treasure!

Y.Swap Shop's will be being held all over London and in the future, nationwide. An administrative entry fee of £10 will be charged (£2 going towards The Even Appeal charity) however this also includes a glass of bubbly or wine!

For everyone to have a fantastic evening please follow a few rules below!


1. Guests must arrive promptly at 7pm.
2. Each guest will receive a coloured "Swap" coupon for the items you bring, so the more you bring the more you get to swap (max 10 items)
3. Each item of clothing you bring will be labelled by the organiser co-ordinating with your swap coupon
4. Any items guests identify as over £200 will also have this written on label. Items under £200 will be put on one side of room and over £200 on other side called (No items of clothing will be accepted if the label has been removed)
5. Bring clothes in good shape, which you would sell or give to friends - if you bring good stuff, you'll get good stuff! Clothing must be cleaned and pressed
6. Items will be sorted into size and style categories prior to diving in.
7. Bring dresses, blouses, blazers, suits, coats on hangers, Accessories - please separate items into plastic bags
8. Shoes & Handbags must be stylish and gently worn. Bring shoes in their box if you still have it. (Please state when an item is fake, if you don't the swap will end for you!)
10. At 7pm guests will be offered a glass of wine or bubbly while preparation is taking place.
11. At 7.15pm guests will be invited into clothes room for viewing only.
12. At 7.30pm guests must label which pieces of items they wish to purchase.
13. Try on anything you need to, there will be a group dressing area for guests to try on clothes.
14. If two or more guests want one piece of clothing there will be a raffle for those pieces of clothing towards the end of the session. Y.shop's decision will be final.
15. Items not swapped by the end of the event can be reclaimed by their owners or given to Charity, ALL CLOTHES NOT RECLAIMED BY 8.30 p.m. will be given to charity.
16. The £10 donation is for the party, drink, networking, it does NOT guarantee you will find garments to swap. It gives you the opportunity to go in and look for free but bad luck if you don't find anything.
